I'm going to crawl back into the bathroom now.

I was thinking the other night after I was helped made it back to my room that I've spent a long while ignoring myself for the most part. It's not that the basic needs aren't met, but... Well I don't believe I need to go into it here, but there are going to have to be some changes, I believe.

Though I can no longer say that coming here to Russia has been a completely bad decision. And with him gone, it's been surprisingly peaceful. Though....

Hm.

I ought to go check up on my patients. There will be time later for further thinking I suppose. And there I go, putting myself to the side once again. I ought to have majored in denial and self-deprivation.

ETA: ...on an only slightly related note. This secret is really gnawing at me. I feel like I'm... a teenager again. This is ridiculous!

...I must say, it's gotten awfully quiet here, particularly since House scrambled back to the States after he heard from Wilson about... something. I don't even know the details and I'm feeling a might bit left out being the last one left here in Russia.

Ah well.

Anyone wish to do something stimulating? A drink? A game of cards? I fear Russia might be making me go crazy.

I swear, there's almost as much drama here as there is back in New Jersey, except... crazier. Words I never thought I'd hear/see myself say/type. It's rather remarkable, considering.

Hopefully things will quiet down, though I suppose we've all got to step up now to take care of those whom are without doctors or therapists.

I'm trying to remind myself why I believed this to be the best course of action. I think I need to claim temporary insanity for this is colder than any other place I've been in the world.

But anyway.

I'd like to extend a hello to everyone here in the facility. I've just joined the staff, hailing from Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in the States. I'm taking a leave of absence from my position there in order to... ahem... expand my horizons, as it were. I hope this will be an enlightening experience!

To those of you who are on my patient roster, I must let you know that I do my rounds promptly at 8, so I would appreciate your assistance in being ready when I stop by. If you have any questions, problems, or anything that needs to come to my attention, feel free to leave me a note. I've got a whiteboard on my office door and you are more than welcome to leave me notes there.

And I must extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. House for the warm greeting. I must say, that was the perfect way to start my stay here.
